ESMOD Jakarta Held a New Experience of Watching Fashion Shows

ESMOD Jakarta is a pioneer of fashion education in Indonesia, every year holding an annual fashion show as a forum for talented young designers to show their best work.

On Saturday, November 28, 2020, ESMOD Jakarta held a fashion show called Fashion Feast with the aim of appreciating the results of displaying a 3D stage, this event packed a virtual fashion show with the support of creative technology from talented young designers from ESMOD Jakarta batch 2020 program 3 Year Fashion Design and Creation (FDC) and 1 Year Fashion Design and Pattern Drafting (FDPD). 

The theme this time is “The Next Creative Wave – Sense the New Experience”, where fashion shows which are usually held offline have changed their concept to an online format. With creatively presented by talented young designers ESMOD Jakarta. This event was held behind closed doors with strict health protocols and can be watched on the ESMOD Jakarta Youtube channel.

Themed The Next Creative Wave – Sense the New Experience, this virtual fashion show was held to show the public that the fashion industry can still be consistent and look beautiful with unlimited creativity, even in the midst of unfavorable conditions. Featuring 64 looks divided into 6 different specialties: Kids, Lingerie, Menswear, Women Luxury Design, Women Modern Couture, and Women Ready to Wear. Beginning with the assessment period conducted earlier in September 2020, the students from the Class of 2020 ESMOD Jakarta managed to amaze the judges with their work. 

These judges are designers (who are also alumni of ESMOD Jakarta), practitioners, actors in the fashion and supporting industries, such as Gisela Jizeeru, Zico Halim, Savira Lavinia, Ria Juwita, and so on.

“The various materials used by these young designers are a blend of handmade mixed with modern techniques. Every designer has their own way of presenting various ideas and natural characters,” said Patrice Desilles, as Academic Program Manager of ESMOD Jakarta.
